MASTERCLASS: with Martha T. Lipton

MASTER CLASS WITH MARTHA T. LIPTON

Local "semi-professional theatre actress" (and drama teacher!) Martha T. Lipton, shares her years of experience in an interactive improv party/class for performers and non-performers alike! She's pulling out all the props! She's dusting off her costume chest and burning a CD of sound effects; so get ready for a rip-roaring, awkwardly fun, group bonding experience! Drink tickets will be awarded to students who make "bold choices" and show "good teamwork"! Grab a drink, an adventurous date and some clothes you can move in!

WHO IS MARTHA T. LIPTON???

Martha T. Lipton (the failed actress) is the brainchild of local performance artist Evan Johnson. Martha hails from Fresno, CA and teaches private acting classes in her paid parking space (she doesn't drive). Evan is a graduate of Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre, where he studied clown, ensemble devised theatre and mask performance. Professionally, Evan teaches young people theatre skills at New Conservatory Theatre Center, Harvey Milk Center for the Arts and Alvarado Elementary School. Martha first appeared as one of many characters in "The Hello Show!" created by Johnson and his then performance partner Jamie Van Camp. "The Hello Show!" traveled to 8 cities in 2007 and 2008. Since moving to San Francisco in 2009, Martha mostly appears at Piano Fight, where she hosts "So You Think You Can Lap Dance?" produced by Modern on Command. She is also available for corporate events, singing telegrams and birthday parties.
