OTHER STRANGER is a musical gathering at the STUD. The focus of this night will be the experimental mutated rhythms and raw, primitive electronics through live performance and DJ sets.

BEAU WANZER (L.I.E.S., Jealous God, Nation) DJ set- Midwestern oddity Beau Wanzer spends the majority of his days sifting through paraffin embedded tissues and reading old copies of Fangoria. Drawing from the palette of industrial music and horror films, he makes some of the best lo- fi freak in the biz. Beau has self released several albums as well as 12"s on L.I.E.S., Nation, and Jealous God, to name a few. He is also 1/3 of Mutant Beat Dance, a collaboration with Traxx and Steve Summers, who's recent sprawling box set on Rush Hour Music is a seamless amalgamation of the midwestern traditions of proto techno, jackin' house, and Beau Wanzer's signature electro industrial creep vibe.

EXILLON (Katabatik, Secret Studio Records) LIVE - Oakland producer and pillar of the esoteric electronics Katabatik crew, Jay Fields has been tirelessly producing deranged acid tracks under the moniker Exillon for close to two decades. Jay is also one half of Abandoned Footwear with fellow Katabatik affiliate Michael Buchanan (Identity Theft). Jay recently twisted the dance floor at Kosmetic into a writhing mess with a dj set comprised entirely of his own unreleased material. His forthcoming 12" on SF label Secret Studio Records features four fucked up and crunched out hardware workouts to satisfy the punk noisers and techno heads alike.

GAYPHEX TWIN-(Jacktone/PerfectLocation) LIVE- Gayphex Twin is San Francisco based wildcard Patience, sometimes Brooke, Keller. She operates heavy machinery from the next dimension over, and her music has been described as “songs”. Her introspective and moody techno and IDM has been released by Jacktone and San Francisco's own Perfect Location. Patience continues to grace the Bay with live PA and DJ sets that surprise at every turn.

CHRIS PEREZ CBT (Ratio 3) DJ- Chris Perez has long been a record collector since his teenage days in San Diego of the 1980's. Goth, industrial, and new wave were the foundation of his music interests which led him to DJing the underground SoCAL rave scene of the early 1990's. He will play a selection of tracks that that present the past, present, and future all at once.
